The Los Angeles billboard actually dates from 2016 from a Postmates advertising campaign, which obviously has nothing to with Lil Wayne. Somebody simply decided to get slick with Photoshop and fool us all into thinking Carter V was coming soon. Although the project may still arrive in the coming weeks or months, its promotion has not begun.
The rapper’s team has not commented on the false advertisements as of yet. Weezy recently told fans that he had a meeting about the potential release datefor Tha Carter V. Whether or not he goes all out with billboards, the album is still very likely going to be one of the highest-selling ones of the year.
