Lebanese designer Elie Saab shut down Paris Couture Week with his breathtaking show.

To call Elie Saab’s Spring 2018 haute couture show glamorous would be a gross understatement. The Lebanese fashion designer scaled new ostentatious heights and kicked the glam up several notches by adding in plenty of ostrich feathers, oversized silk bows and bedazzled bathing caps at his unforgettable show.

Elie Saab’s show was inspired by “the women in Paris in the 1920s translating their sophisticated elegance into pieces of timeless chic.”

The vibe of the collection is a throwback to the quintessential Saab well, the revered women of Old Hollywood. However Saab modernises the retro feel with modern silhouettes and mini hemlines. The exquisite beading is signature Saab and combined with the volume of sheer fabric, the designs are just about ready to roll out on red carpets over the coming award season.

Elie Saab has his act down pat and though he adds a few variations here and there, he never strays too far from what makes him one of the most exalted designers whose designs never fail to take our breath away.
